This was an exceptional hotel from the moment we entered it. We arrived early, but had no problems with leaving our bags while we toured the local sites. The reception staff were fantastic, service with a smile and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was enormous having two queen beds and boasted a feeling of luxury. The view we had of the harbour was amazing and watching the sea plane takeoff and land was mesmerising. We took the buffet breakfast and enjoyed the wide choice of food and the service provided. Checkout was easy. The hotel is situated at the end of the cruise pier. It has lots of small eating places nearby and local excursions run from the road outside. The hotel even organised our hop on hop off bus tickets for us. We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, very convenient location when going on a cruise. Love that you transfer luggage to cruise ship for us. Staff very helpful and friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast buffet had lots of options, and they will also make eggs another way if you ask them .

Hotel was amazing. Keanu at the friend desk was awesome! Friendly, personable, and provided top class service. Keanu deserves a promotion! Rooms were clean. Views are amazing. Salt water Pool was warm and relaxing. Close to downtown and lots of great places within walking distance. Rented car from hotel as well and it was really nice and clean

Items stolen - terrible security

Attended a conference and was going to stay at the hotel for 3 nights. I left early in the morning the second day and returned in the evening to find my laptop and ipad stolen from my room; the thief even went through my luggage to get the chargers and accessories. There was no forced entry, and the door was locked when I left (they confirmed the cleaning staff accessed the room around noon with key card). Upon reporting to the managers (evening, and day front desk), the only response I got was that it cannot be from their staff - it has never happened before! Who else could have gone in then? There were lots of activities from bellboys on that floor as well (but no other visitors since it was high up). It was either an inside job or someone "accidentally" left the door open after cleaning. Security was useless. There was only one camera at the ground floor of one elevator. Anyone who's been to Pan Pacific knows it's essentially an open building with many exits. They could not tell who used the elevator (which requires key card access). They didn't even think to move me to another room or reprogram my key card after I told them my second key card was stolen from the room as well. The next 2 days were spent not getting any answer. Finally my husband managed to reach the general manager (because as a minority woman, my complaints did not get anywhere). After more than a week of back and forth, they compensated half of the cost of my lost items. The most disrespectful aspect is we were told to take the deal, otherwise we'd spend more time dealing with the hotel insurance company. The hotel room may be fine, but they clearly do not take security seriously. A police report was filed.

It really needs an update…..really! Pan Pacific will know this … see Orchard Road, Singapore! So they know…….!!? Maintenance is sadly missing… tile grout around the bath/ shower/ toilet floor.. missing tiles on pool walk way, broken edges here too… missing decor stones here… Lack of USB points, just type 2 would be nice, never mind type c… Front desk staff seemed too corporate to me…my opinion…I used to own a service company..the overall opinion is they could be more cheerful rather than coldly efficient. It feels like the cruise passengers are happy to pay the premium as it makes access to the ships easy. It’s a lift downstairs to the cruise terminal. So many hotels trade on their location, and location only. Please Pan Pacific, don’t continue to trade on this location at this price and make it appear worthy, in my opinion….it’s just not!
